In London today, 62 bikes will get nicked. That's how many were pinched every day between June and October last year - AKA the bicycle 'borrowing' season - according to Home Office stats. As a cyclist myself, that makes me even keener to see new ingenious cycle storage ideas from the Reinventing the Bike Shed initiative-cum-competition, such as these bonkers Bike Trees by Chun Yeug Cheng and Ka Fai Lee.
The Trees were runners-up in the student entry part of the competition, which also features the two winners - Patrick Skingley and Lukas Barry's Bike Tower and Claire Bandy's Bike Pod - below. If you've got a better idea, you can enter the competition yourself using the form here, provided your entry arrives before September 4th 2006.
The Bike Tower

I stumbled upon this site as I was in the process of doing some online research. Radical bike sheds. I like the green approach on your blog - informative, especially the solar material.
