I know, I know, it's a facetious headline, but this olive oil made by Arabs, Jews, Bedouins and Druze in northern Israel is clearly a step in the right direction. As well as the cool bridge-building aspect, the oil - dubbed PeaceOil - should taste good since it's harvested from organic Suria olives. It doesn't yet have organic certification (such as a Soil Associaton badge) but it plans to get certified in 2007. You can get yours for £10 a bottle via a crazy retro-tech known as a phone: the number's 0207 435 6500. These shops also stock it. Update: you can invest in PeaceOil's business for £25 at Good Gifts.
Greenguy readers may be interested in knowing that Peace Oil is also available in the US. But not the brand sold at Good Gifts and owned by Charities Advisory Trust based in England that The Greenguy article refers to.
Peace Oil United States is available at http://www.peaceoil.biz/ and has been available in the US before the "Peace Oil" Greenguy is referring to had even become a reality. Furthermore, Peace Oil at http://www.peaceoil.biz/ is truly an international product of both Israel and Palestine and, most importantly, is a joint effort of Israelis and Palestinians.
I support both the English and US versions. But I think a more balanced exposure for both would be appropriate on your website. Furthermore, it should be noted that I ordered "Peace Oil" (English version) from Good Gifts but was told they were having a problem shipping into the US. The cost with shipping was $40 and they don't even tell you the size of the bottle. I never did receive any oil, but did receive a refund (after a 2nd request).
Peace Oil at WWW.PEACEOIL.BIZ sells for a current price of $12.50 for a 500ml bottle and ships throughout the US and Canada. Shipping in Seattle is free to your door.
This product is also a gourmet olive oil. I should know. I have watched hundreds of shoppers and event goers taste it and have been overwhelmed by the almost universal expressions of satisfaction and delight.

Don't be fooled, this oil is made in Israel and only funds projects in the Israeli State. They have made official statements denying Palestine exists as a country. Their policy is extreme-zionist. They are other oils that are made by bother Palestinian and Israelis.
